It is with great pleasure that I announce the advancement and appointment of Rudy Estrada as LABI College’s Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost. This newly focused position comes with the unanimous support of his colleagues on the executive cabinet. This position also comes with unique responsibilities, and is geared exclusively toward academic leadership of our Associate Degree program in Bible and Ministry. This is the academic program we are seeking accreditation for from the Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).
Rudy Estrada originally began his appointment as the Chief Academic Officer of LABI College on August 1st, 2010. He oversaw all academic areas of the college which include the faculty, academic records, library, curriculum, and degree programs. He has served as the Accreditation Liaison Officer for the college and as an associate faculty member, having taught New Testament Survey, Romans, Acts, Greek I, and Hermeneutics. His area of specialty is in literary hermeneutics with a particular focus on Johannine Pneumatology.
Since 2003, Rudy has been participating and teaching in a variety of church ministries, discipleship groups, and Christian education. He is a published writer in the Journal of Pentecostal Theology and a member of the Society of Pentecostal Studies. A licensed minister with the Assemblies of God since 2014, Rudy holds a Bachelor’s degree from Vanguard, two Master degrees from Duke University, and is currently a Regent University doctoral candidate!
One of the greatest responsibilities I have as president is to cultivate an environment that will advance and promote the people I serve with and for. When you see him, please welcome Rudy to this significant leadership role, and thank him for his dedication and service to our beloved LABI College!
