We are delighted to announce that William Mendoza has taken the new role of Interim Dean of Enrollment. In this new role, William will oversee the enrollment process as well as developing strategies, events and monitoring the student experience in regards to retention. William will serve in this interim role through the summer as Eli Vega, the former Dean of Enrollment, transitions to focus on the great work happening within the Southern Pacific District Youth Ministries.
William has been working at LABI since 2015 when he was hired as an Admissions Specialist, where William has already been working to assist and meet with students/families during campus visits, contacting and visiting churches, schools, fairs, and district offices for recruitment purposes. He has also served as a financial/admissions counselor by advising students through the application and financial process.
As a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God, William also serves multiple ministerial functions in his church and within the Southern Pacific District. He has served as Worship Pastor, Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, and has recently been appointed as a Sectional Youth Leader with the SPD Youth Ministries. William is an LABI alumni (2013) who served as SGA Vice President, SGA President, LABI Touring Team member, as well as Student Pastor his last semester. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Religion from Vanguard University (2017), and will begin a Master of Divinity degree this fall at Fuller Theological Seminary.
