LATIN AMERICAN THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

FOREWORD FROM THE FOUNDER |

For some time now it has been said that we are living in the information age. The agricultural and industrial ages have passed on into history. It is true that agriculture and industrialization are indispensable in order for a civilization to exist; but the most valuable reality of our time and for the days to come is information. The minister that wishes to have an effective ministry today must be an informed person. The minister must be well-informed, not only in regards to the people he ministers to and the society in which they live in, but the minister must also be well-informed in the Word of God and what it speaks to the people regardless of where they are.The Latin American Theological Seminary was founded with the purpose of maintaining ministers and lay leaders up to date with current information. Just as a medical doctor or an auto mechanic must constantly be learning about the changes taking place in their fields, so too must a servant of the Lord keep him or herself up to date in regards to the Word of God and the context in which preaching takes place.Dr. Jesse Miranda |
