NEw student Application Rewards

I. Eligibility and Limitations

1. To be eligible to win a one-year full-tuition scholarship or Enchant Key Pass prize for this upcoming semester, the recipient must have submitted a new student complete application to LABI College by January 5, 2022, for enrollment beginning in the Spring 2022 semester as an on-campus LABI student. On-campus LABI students are defined as students who dorm on the LABI campus. 

2. The full-tuition scholarship recipient and Enchant Key Pass recipient(s) attend LABI College as an on-campus student for the Spring 2022 and Fall 2022 semesters to be eligible for the prizes.

3. LABI College employees and/or their family members are not eligible for the scholarship.

II. Prizes

A. One-Year Scholarship Prize

1. One (1) winner will receive a one-year full-tuition scholarship to LABI College.

2. The scholarship is only applicable to tuition charged by LABI College. It does not apply to student fees, registration fees, books, room and board, transportation, or other expenses.

3. The scholarship is limited to one year/two semesters of enrollment even if the student is in a program requiring more than two semesters. Full-time enrollment is not required for scholarship eligibility, but an individual must typically be enrolled full-time to graduate within two or three years depending on the program.

4. The scholarship may not be used for summer courses.

5. The recipient may take up to one semester off without forfeiting scholarship eligibility. Otherwise, the student must remain continuously enrolled. Eligibility for the scholarship will terminate if a recipient withdraws for a second semester for any reason, including illness or academic probation.

6. The scholarship recipient is not eligible for any other institutional aid including endowment scholarship funds.

7. Other institutional aid or any external tuition-specific aid such as Pell Grants, etc., may reduce the amount of the scholarship.

8. The recipient must meet AND MAINTAIN  Academic, Student/Residence life, Spiritual Formation, and Business office  (View Catalog for details) standards to maintain eligibility for the scholarship. The recipient must maintain at least a 2.0 term GPA to maintain eligibility for the following semester.

9. The cumulation of other tuition-specific funds in conjunction with this tuition-specific scholarship cannot exceed the total tuition for the semester.

10. Tuition-specific funds can only cover tuition charges.

11. The scholarship must be coordinated with other state and federal financial aid and may impact eligibility based on their rules.

12. The scholarship is applicable for only one degree from LABI College. "Unused" dollars cannot be used for additional courses nor can it be cashed out.

13. The scholarship is not transferable to any other school or person.

14. The scholarship is only applicable to first-time applicants and for courses required to complete a traditional Associate or Bachelor’s degree.

B. Enchant Key Passes Prize

1. Two (2) winners will each receive one (1) Disney Enchant Magic Key Pass.

2. The Disney Enchant Magic Key Pass prize will be awarded as a Disney gift card in the amount equivalent to the Disney Enchant Magic Key Pass as of July 1, 2022 (approx. $649.00 each).

3. By accepting the gift card, the recipient must certify that the prize is a taxable and reportable item and that the recipient may be subject to tax reporting/tax withholding, which may include any of the following: a Form 1099-MISC or Form W-2 issued by LABI College detailing the fair market value of the gift/award/prize. If required, LABI will report the fair market value of the gift/award/prize to the Internal Revenue Service and to the State of California Franchise Tax Board.

4. Each of the two (2) prize recipients will be required to complete and return a W-9/W-8BEN and a gift/award/prize tax acknowledgment form in order to receive the prize.

III. Winner Selection and Notification

1. One (1) one-year full-tuition scholarship winner will be selected at random on or about January 10, 2022, from all valid applicants.

2. Two (2) Disney Enchant Key Pass prize winners will be selected at random on or about January 10, 2022, from all valid applicants.

3. Winners will be notified by phone and/or email on or about January 14, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. PST.

4. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible applications received.

5. The final determination of the winner is conditional on verification of eligibility and compliance with all terms and conditions.
