LABI College Event Terms & Conditions

These Event Terms & Conditions apply to individuals who register for, participate in, or attend events hosted, sponsored, or organized by LABI College (“LABI College”), whether held on the LABI College campus or at another designated event location.

By registering for or attending a LABI College event, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the following terms.

1. Registration & Attendance

Attendees are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when registering for an event. Registration may be required for admission, participation, meals, materials, or other event-related services.

Registration for one individual does not automatically register additional guests unless otherwise stated. LABI College may establish event-specific eligibility requirements, capacity limits, deadlines, or other participation requirements.

2. Assumption of Risk & Release

Participation in an in-person event may involve ordinary and inherent risks, including accidents, illness, personal injury, or other unforeseen circumstances.

By voluntarily attending or participating in a LABI College event, you acknowledge and assume the risks reasonably associated with your participation.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to release and hold harmless LABI College and its officers, employees, representatives, volunteers, and event personnel from claims or liability arising from your attendance or participation, including claims arising from ordinary negligence.

Nothing in these terms is intended to waive or limit rights or liabilities that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

3. Personal Property

Attendees are responsible for securing and monitoring their personal belongings.

LABI College is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, forgotten, or damaged personal property brought onto campus or to an event venue.

4. Photography, Video & Audio Recording

Photography, video recording, livestreaming, and audio recording may occur during LABI College events.

By attending an event, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs, video, audio recordings, livestreams, or other media captured during the event.

You grant LABI College permission to photograph, record, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, edit, and otherwise use media in which you appear for legitimate institutional purposes, including educational materials, publications, websites, social media, advertising, marketing, fundraising, public relations, and promotion of LABI College and future events, without compensation to you.

5. Event Conduct

All attendees are expected to behave respectfully, responsibly, and safely and to comply with applicable LABI College policies, event rules, venue requirements, and reasonable instructions from college staff or event personnel.

LABI College reserves the right to refuse admission or remove an attendee whose conduct is disruptive, threatening, unsafe, harassing, unlawful, or otherwise inconsistent with college or event policies.

6. Event Changes & Cancellation

Event dates, times, speakers, schedules, activities, locations, meals, programming, and other details are subject to change.

LABI College reserves the right to modify, postpone, relocate, or cancel an event or any portion of an event when reasonably necessary.

7. Food, Allergies & Dietary Needs

Some events may include food or beverages. Attendees must notify LABI College of dietary restrictions or allergies when requested during registration.

LABI College cannot guarantee that food or event environments will be completely free from specific allergens or ingredients. Attendees are responsible for determining whether food provided is appropriate for their individual needs.

8. Medical Emergencies

In the event of an apparent medical emergency, LABI College staff or representatives may contact emergency medical services or take other reasonable steps to obtain assistance.

Attendees remain responsible for medical expenses or other costs resulting from treatment or emergency services unless otherwise required by law.

9. Minors

Events that permit individuals under 18 may be subject to additional requirements, including parental or legal guardian authorization, supervision requirements, emergency information, and separate releases or media consent forms.

Event registration does not replace any additional documentation LABI College requires for a minor to participate.

10. Registration Information & Communications

Information provided during registration may be used by LABI College to administer the event, communicate with attendees, provide event updates, coordinate meals or accommodations, maintain attendance records, and carry out related institutional purposes in accordance with applicable policies and law.

Attendees are responsible for providing accurate contact information and reviewing event communications for important updates.

11. Accessibility & Accommodations

Attendees who require reasonable accommodations are encouraged to contact LABI College in advance so appropriate arrangements can be considered.

12. Additional Event Requirements

Certain activities, including travel, transportation, athletics, overnight activities, activities involving minors, or other activities presenting additional risks, may require separate terms, releases, consent forms, or participation requirements.

Any event-specific terms supplement these general Event Terms & Conditions.

13. Acknowledgment

By registering for or attending a LABI College event, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these Event Terms & Conditions, including the provisions regarding assumption of risk, personal property, event conduct, and photography, video, and audio recording.
