Campus Reopening Update

With California's reopening on June 15, LABI College is excited in anticipation of the full reopening of our campus this fall 2021 semester! Although Los Angeles County Public Health Department guidelines pertaining to colleges and universities have yet to be updated in light of the June 15th opening, LABI is monitoring public health guidelines on a daily basis. We highly encourage and recommend that everyone in the LABI community receive the COVID-19 vaccination in order to help us better prepare for our anticipated reopening in the fall semester.

In alignment with the State’s reopening and updated public health orders, LABI will implement the following guidelines for our students, staff, faculty, and guests until further instruction for the fall 2021 semester:

  • Vaccinated LABI students, staff, and faculty will not be required to wear masks while on campus when indoor and outdoors. A proof of vaccination may be required to fully verify vaccine status.

  • Vaccinated LABI students will not have limitations with regards to student housing and Student Life Activities. We are awaiting further instruction from the LA county for unvaccinated LABI students who wish to house on campus.

  • All guests will be required to wear masks indoors and outdoors regardless of vaccination status until further notice.

For updated information regarding COVID-19 guidelines for higher education in the LA County, please visit http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/coronavirus/guidances.htm#education.
