La Puente, CA – LABI College is proud to announce that Gabriela Mora, CFO and VP of Operations, has been elected to serve as the newest Commissioner for the Commission on Accreditation at the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). The election took place during ABHE’s annual conference in Orlando, where representatives from nearly 170 colleges and universities participated in the selection process.
LABI College President shared:
“My most important role as president is to equip the next generation of LABI leaders. It gives me great honor to announce that at this year’s annual conference at ABHE in Orlando, our very own Gabriela Mora was elected by nearly 170 colleges and universities to serve as the newest Commissioner for the Commission on Accreditation. I am overjoyed and very proud of Gabby. Please join me in congratulating her on this tremendous accomplishment. PTL.” - Dr. Marty Harris
This milestone also reflects a continued legacy of accreditation leadership at LABI College. Dr. Harris has faithfully served for several years as a Commissioner with ABHE, contributing to accreditation reviews and assisting institutions in receiving and maintaining their accredited status. His leadership has strengthened schools nationwide while upholding the standards of excellence in Christian higher education.
Gabriela Mora brings extensive experience to this new role. She has served in accreditation efforts at LABI College and has also supported other institutions seeking accredited status. Her work has included guiding schools through accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with standards, and helping institutions pursue excellence in governance and educational outcomes.
While serving in this national capacity, she will continue in her role at LABI College as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Operations, remaining fully committed to the mission and leadership of the institution.
The Commission on Accreditation plays a critical role in safeguarding academic integrity and institutional quality among Christian colleges and universities. Gabriela’s election affirms not only her leadership and expertise but also LABI College’s long-standing commitment to academic excellence, spiritual formation, and service to the Church and the world.

As LABI College celebrates its centennial, this moment stands as an example of the institution’s influence in Christian higher education. LABI continues to form leaders who serve not only in churches and communities, but also in shaping the standards that guide faith-based education nationwide.
Please join the LABI community in congratulating Gabriela Mora on this significant achievement and in celebrating the continued impact of LABI College in Christian higher education.
