LABI College Announces Venue and Commencement Speaker for Historic 100th Centennial Commencement

La Puente, CA – LABI College is pleased to announce that its historic 100th Centennial Commencement Ceremony will take place on May 16, 2026, at Crossroads Church in Corona, California.

This year’s commencement marks a significant milestone in the history of LABI College as the institution celebrates 100 years of preparing leaders for the Church and the world. The centennial ceremony will gather graduates, alumni, families, church leaders, and friends of the college to honor both the accomplishments of the graduating class and the legacy of ministry and leadership formed through LABI over the past century.

Due to the significance of this once-in-a-century celebration, Crossroads Church in Corona was selected as the venue to host the ceremony and accommodate the broader LABI community coming together for this historic occasion.

LABI College is also honored to announce that alumnus, Dr. Rodolfo Galvan Estrada III will serve as the commencement speaker for this landmark celebration.

Dr. Estrada is an Assistant Professor of New Testament at Vanguard University and a respected scholar whose research focuses on the cultural background of the New Testament, including themes of race, culture, migration, and exile in the Greco-Roman world. He approaches Scripture through a Pentecostal and Latino hermeneutic, contributing valuable perspectives to biblical scholarship.

He holds a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Regent University, two master’s degrees from Duke University, and a master’s degree in Classical Studies from Villanova University. Dr. Estrada has also served as an adjunct professor at several institutions, including Fuller Theological Seminary, Portland Seminary of George Fox University, Northwest University, and LABI College.

His academic work has been published in numerous journals such as Horizons of Biblical Theology, Journal of Evangelical Theology, Pentecostudies, Pneuma, and the Journal of Pentecostal Studies. In addition to academic scholarship, Dr. Estrada has written for broader audiences through outlets such as Christianity Today, the Houston Chronicle, Yahoo News, and AG Influence Magazine.

Dr. Estrada is also the author of several books, including The Spirit and Race in John’s Gospel (2025), A Latino Reading of Kinship, Ethnicity, and the Empire: John’s Prologue (2023), and A Pneumatology of Race in the Gospel of John (2019).

LABI College looks forward to welcoming Dr. Estrada as he addresses graduates during this historic centennial commencement.

As LABI celebrates a century of ministry formation, the 100th Centennial Commencement represents both a reflection on the institution’s legacy and a renewed vision for raising the next generation of leaders who will serve the Church and communities around the world.
