LABI College Welcomes Daniel Maya as New Dean of Enrollment

LABI College, after an exhaustive search, has identified a new senior leader to guide our enrollment initiatives, office, and staff. Please join us in welcoming Daniel Maya, LABI alumnus (Class of 2012), as our new Dean of Enrollment.

Daniel brings over a decade of experience in senior leadership, administration, and ministry. His background includes leading the business offices of Templo Calvario (Santa Ana), contributing significantly to foundation operations, and serving extensively in youth and ministry leadership roles. Daniel lives in Santa Ana with his wife, Liz, and son Noah. 

President Dr. Marty Harris shared, “We believe Daniel provides the unique leadership traits, innovative strategies, spiritual maturity, and deep awareness of both our history and vision. We are blessed to have him rejoin our leadership team.”

Over the past decade, LABI College has reached several key milestones in higher education, program development, and accreditation.

• In 2015, LABI was fully endorsed by the Alliance for Higher Education.

• In 2018, we were approved by the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE).

• In 2020, LABI earned initial national accreditation from the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) and received Title IV authorization from the U.S. Department of Education.

• In 2024, LABI was designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (Title V).

• Most recently, in 2025, LABI received a ten-year reaffirmation of our accreditation from ABHE.
  

We have also expanded our academic offerings, launching several new programs, including an Associate of Arts in Bible and Ministry (Spanish), and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology, Business Administration, and Theology (English and Spanish). LABI is approved for online education and authorized to offer programs in over 14 states.

With Daniel joining our enrollment team, we believe the college is positioned for continued growth and new opportunities.

Daniel’s official start date is May 5, 2025.
