To the University of Valley Forge community and the broader Christian higher education community

The news of the University of Valley Forge’s closure has been heartbreaking for many of us in Christian higher education. For generations, UVF has faithfully prepared students to serve Christ, His Church, and their communities. More than a college is closing, it’s a place where students discovered their calling, friendships became family, and faculty and staff poured into the lives of future Christian leaders. That kind of legacy cannot be measured, and it deserves to be honored.

To the students, faculty, staff, alumni, and everyone connected to University of Valley Forge, please know that you are in our prayers. We know this is an incredibly difficult time. There are decisions to make, questions that don’t yet have answers, and a lot of uncertainty about what comes next. We are praying that the Lord will give you wisdom, peace, and confidence as you take those next steps.

As a fellow Assemblies of God institution and a member of the Alliance for Higher Education, we understand the unique calling of Christian higher education. Although one chapter is coming to a close, the work of preparing men and women to serve Christ continues. We are grateful for the impact University of Valley Forge has made over the years and for the many lives that have been changed through its ministry.

This year, LABI College is celebrating 100 years of preparing Christian leaders. Since 1926, our mission has remained the same: to equip students to serve God with biblical conviction, academic excellence, and a heart for ministry. Today, we offer nationally accredited undergraduate degrees in Theology, Business Administration, and Psychology through the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), with federal financial aid available for eligible students.

For those who are now considering where to continue their education, we want to make that process as simple as possible. Our transfer team is ready to help evaluate completed coursework, answer questions about degree options, explain financial aid, and help students preserve as much of the work they have already completed as possible.

We also know that moving across the country isn't realistic for everyone. That's why all of our undergraduate degree programs can be completed online. For students who choose to live on our Southern California campus, we are pleased to offer a special scholarship opportunity to help make that transition more affordable.

As a Hispanic-Serving Institution, LABI College is committed to serving students from all backgrounds while remaining rooted in our Christ-centered mission. We believe the Church is stronger when leaders from every culture and community are equipped to serve faithfully.

We also recognize that this transition affects faculty and staff. As needs arise, we welcome conversations with those who may be interested in teaching as adjunct faculty and continuing to invest in the next generation of Christian leaders.

Whether you choose LABI College or another institution, our prayer is that you find a place where you can continue pursuing the calling God has placed on your life.
