Eight Week Plan for the Remainder of Spring Semester (March 23rd through May 15th)

Dear LABI Community;

In light of recommendations by Local, State, and Federal public officials/agencies, and with the best interest of the LABI community in mind, LABI College has created an eight week plan for the remainder of the spring semester beginning on March 23rd.


Classes:

In-classroom meetings will be replaced with long-distance, remote teaching alternatives. LABI faculty will be utilizing Populi, Zoom, and/or other platforms to communicate assignments and information for the remainder of the semester. Students should expect instructions from professors regarding expectations for these next eight weeks of the semester. LABI is following proper guidelines given by our accreditors, the Association for Biblical Higher Education, and our actions satisfy their accreditation standards. The quality of education will not change, and all course learning objectives will remain aligned to our program learning objectives.Ministerial practicum courses and expectations are still in affect. Student Life/Dormitory:

The Dormitory will be closed for the remainder of the semester. Students who are international, out-of-state, or because of extenuating circumstances cannot return home, will be allowed to stay in the dormitory for the remainder of the semester (until May 15th) on a case by case basis. To petition for possible longer stay in the dormitory, please email housing@labi.edu or call the Residence office at 626-968-1328, ext. 3011. Although Chapel gatherings will be cancelled for the remainder of the semester, the Spiritual Formation office is committed to providing online spiritual formation resources for students. Pastoral office meetings and pastoral counseling will also remain available to students. Library:

The Library will remain open to students for the remainder of the semester. Students are encouraged to utilize the library's online resources. Campus Visitations:

LABI College campus and offices will remain open.
